Everyone knows about the 2008 Elections. (i hope...) And I'm sure everyone knows about just how stupid it is right now. Why, you ask? Allow me to enlighten you:
Reason 1: It's too early. Come on, the first primary aren't until February 2008 and we're discussing who should be President in April 2007?
Reason 2: The Democrats and the Republicans. Nuff said!
Reason 3: Hillary Clinton. I have absolutely no love for whatsoever. She's smart, I'll give her that. But, come on, how could anybody look at her and not think, 'My god, what a liar!"
Reason 4: John McCain. I don't like him as much as i used to. It's also too painful to watch him stick his foot in his mouth while shooting his other foot in the process. He embodies the Republican Party we no longer want. I want go up to him and say, "Dude, quit acting like the Republicans before the '06 elections. We voted them out for a reason!"
However, there is an upside to all of the Early Presidential Elections
Reason 1: The media has begun to lose their influence over the masses. After the VT Massacre and the Don Imus Scandal, can watch CNN or FOX NEWS and take it seriously anymore? Not me! Their fall began with the 2004 elections, if you ask me.
Reason 2: The Democrats started waaaaay too early. This will in turn make us so sick of them that when the Election day rolls around, not only will they not get the Office, but i'm willing to bet that they would lose the Congress because we were so sick of them. Same goes for the Republicans!
Reason 3: The rise of the third-parties. Because the Democrats and Republicans have started the campaigns so early, we are probably going to be pretty sick of them. That will in turn (hopefully) will make us seek out the lesser parties and give them a chance at leading The USA. Like the Green Party and the Libertarian Party. Two good parties if you ask me!
Reason 4: We will have more time to see who is fake and who is not as fake when it comes to running for Prez. Like, Hilary Clinton and John McCain!
Oy, i'm tired. So i'm going to go. Be back later
Peace
